What is the best tips when ttc?

recently thought i might be pregnant but was a false alarm. Got me thinking that i really want to start a family with my fiance. What are the best ideas for trying to conceive i have a doctors appointment tomorrow to talk about this with him and my partners going as well. but any personal stories that helped or anything in specific to ask the doctor for would be really appreciated.
