How can I repel squirrels?

I live in an apartment complex and a squirrel gets on my porch and has torn up my screen door, I assume trying to get food. I don't want to kill the guy, how can I keep him off my porch. I have heard the hot sauce and squirrel repellents but I can't douse my entire porch and screen door with that stuff. Any ideas?
